Mystery Blogger Award

Another Mystery Blogger award! My first thanks, of course, goes to Jess who’s a budding blogger with talent I hugely admire and I can only encourage you to check hers out – you won’t regret it. I am honoured as always to be put up for these, 2nd one and counting and it means a whole lot! Also, thank you Okoto Enigma for creating the mystery blogger award.

I’ve been absolutely awful in responding to these. If you nominated me ages ago and I still haven’t responded, please do prod – I just can’t find the nominations at times and I hate to maintain radio silence after someone took the time to include me in this.

Rules for the Mystery Blogger

  • Display the award logo/image on your blog
  • List the rules
  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you and provide a link to the nominator’s blog
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well

Three Things About Me

I am a dreamer – literally. Take technology and company away, and I can amuse myself with my own stupid daydreaming. I am pretty sure I could do it on command.

Once tried tea mixed with coffee at a co-worker’s encouragement and it tasted absolutely disgusting. I felt betrayed.

Moi is a winter person. Warm sweaters, hats, Christmas and hot chocolate are one of the best things to come out of all the four seasons.

Now to answer the questions from Jess:

1. What is the number one item on your bucket list?

I actually don’t have a bucket list per se – but while I am not a huge travel addict, hitting up Japan has always been a dream of mine. Being a huge anime nerd, and really just someone who marvels at the culture, I’d love nothing more than experience it in real life and geek out to everything Japan has to offer.

2. Would you rather be the best of the worst or the worst of the best?

Ou, now that’s a mind fuck. I am a rationalist. I’d rather not live in a dream world I cooked up for myself for my own pleasure. It’s the similar train of thought of ‘why join Google if you can beat Google’. Life’s nothing if you aren’t reaching because you know there is a whole world out there that can not only test you but improve you – worst of the best. Work up from there.

3. How would you want to change the world?

One thought, one word and one person at a time. Building blocks?

4. What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Whenever there is a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics and the music video is a 3 minute club scene. I mean come on, leave that to the actual club songs that are solely about letting loose, but if your lyrics carries something more, do it justice – or leave it be with a lyric video. Oh and rude people.

5. What are you loving right now?

Rick and Morty! Waiting a whole week for an episode is testing me though, I am used to binge-watching entire seasons but I can deal with it. For now.

Voluntary participation of course but I would love to see what you guys come up with!

My Questions for You

Do you think you spend too much time on social media?

Do you think people are born evil or become evil?

What’s your favourite lyric?

Do you believe in second chances?

What lie do you tell yourself regularly?

There we go. Thank you so much for reading and anyone and everyone involved in blowing this Mystery blogger award up!

  1. Yayyyy!!! Congratulations Maddie! An award, any award, is a statement from another person saying “I appreciate what you are doing there. Something about what you write seems just about right.”.
I have said that many times about your writing and this award has reinforced that. :). Keep writing and keep dreaming!

And absolutely, thanks a lot for the nomination. Did you know this is the first nomination of any sort? So this is special. Thank you, Maddie.

    1. Thank you so much! Honestly, you and your comments are always a read to behold. You da bomb.

Wow! I didn’t know that! That’s awesome, glad I could get there first – muchly deserved. One of many more to come 🙂
